I have several pairs of these shorts and regularly ride flowy and technical trails. It is hard to see from the picture, but the inside of the legs is a mesh material that breaths very well. This helps keep things cool when you might be wearing several layers of clothing (shorts, padded liner, etc.)I was surprised that these shorts run a little big in size. I'm 6'0", 185lb and have a 33-34" waist which is normally a large in cycling clothing. I even wear a large in the pearl mtb padded liner shorts. However these shorts are actually a little on the big side. Fortunately they have velcro straps in the waistband that let you adjust the fit. So while they are comfy in the waist, they are a little big in the seat, which sometimes gets caught on the tip of my mtb seat when moving on/off the saddle. The good thing about them being oversized is that in the winter, I can just slide them over a pair of tights. These shorts don't have quite the same tailored fit as my specialized enduro comp shorts, but they still do a great job and I enjoy wearing them even in 90+ deg heat and high humidity. In the end, these are some of the best shorts that I've tried. They have a good cut/fit and move with you well. They don't get too stinky even when drenched in sweat, and they were good enough that I bought a second pair. Also want to add that the leg openings are big enough to comfortably fit over my raceface ambush knee pads. These shorts seem extremely sturdy with reinforced stitching and a very tough yet breathably light fabric, but the length was very unexpected. They extend to just about the middle of my calf. Which really isn't a fault I guess, just used to shorts coming above my knee once I'm in the saddle. I don't really like stuff touching my knees while I'm riding. Cuffed them up a couple of times, so no harm no foul. Other than that these are fantastic extremely high-quality shorts. Not very inexpensive, Just one more piece of proof that the vast majority of the time you get what you pay for. They were very much worth the $ to me.Product is well made and I was stoked to get it. However the sizing chart is 100% i think runs on the small size. Was disappointed in that . consider whether to keep or not as they are right on the border. I got a XXL and it feel more like an XL or L . I know others said the rise was right on, but not for meThis is my new favorite riding shorts. The fabric is light medium weight and perhaps suitable for late summer / early autumn riding shorts. There are 2 zipper side pockets and one in the back. The side pockets have ample space to hold an iPhone 6. The cut looks slim yet the leg openings have enough room to fit knee pads (FOX Launch Knee/Shin Pad) comfortably without any snags. I like the Belgian Block color, it's more like concrete medium grey. As for size comparison the size SMALL fits like my TLD Ruckus shorts size 30.I've put these shorts thru the ringer. Works great, comfortable, everything I needed in mtb shorts. I took a fall in the shorts and put a little damage on the stretchable mesh portion, I suppose that's to be expected. But still holds up well after many washes. Didn't come with a liner but I found a separate one here on amazon and works well.Awesome pair of shorts, def a more roomy/baggy fit in the butt then other cycling clothing. I find on most MTB baggy pants fit incredibly small .. even if you get a XL or XXL they fit very very small, especially in the quads/butt area ... these fit very well, crotch is short so won't snag on saddle but overall a more relaxed fit, with all the strechy materials in there it fits roomy but well. Awesome shorts, will buy another backup pairI was expecting these to fit like bike clothes normally do on me: giant waist, tight thighs. But, I was pleasantly surprised with how well they fit.The shorts just get out of the way and let me ride my bike in comfort. The fabrics have some give and breathability in the right places, and are bomber strong where they need to be, including a DWR coating.Great shorts. No issues, just with they had padding, but I knew they didn't going in. The rear "tramp stamp" pocket is a bit small if you have a larger phone.
