Read more Most design only focuses on the physical. Does it shave seconds? Reduce drag? Yet, so much of endurance cycling is between the ears. A never-ending monologue of attrition vs. will. Which got us thinking: What if our designs fit the mind as seamlessly as they fit the body? I wear these over bib shorts because I'm just not satisfied with the chamy that comes in the shorts with liners. The fit is what I really like about them. They are "snug-ish" but not tight. No binding, or getting caught on the seat because of loose fabric. They stretch, so they're not restrictive despite the fit. They feel light and airy.I've only ridden with them three times. so I can't speak for the long-haul durability as of yet.Fit is about right for the medium. I wear a 34 in the waist and weigh about 175-178lbs. The waist feels a little tight even with the adjusters all the way out, but this is early in the season for me, and I'll grow into them as the weight comes off. If you're a tight 34, I'd suggest going up a large.I like them so much that I'm going to order another pair in a different color.Just got them so it's a rather first impression than a review (will update in time). Out of the box, it seems very similar to the Canyons. Same material and thickness (doesn't look as rough as some dh pants, but it isn't meant for that either). No side pockets and more importantly, no chamois. For a few more bucks you can probably get the Canyons, which do have a chamois, instantly making it a better deal. So for next time, I'll probably go again with a Canyon or better, or this if the price floats around 20-30$. Important note on sizing! Pearl Izumi does not list anywhere what XS waist measure is. Even asking them on FB ended without a reply. It's only another etailer that had this info. XS is 27-29". In reality tho, due to it's stretchy nature, it isn't true to size, so get a Small if you bounce around 29-31.This PI Shorts are a bit baggy when compared to your regular weekend shorts, but quality is top notch for cycling. Be it weekend jaunts or for a serious cyclists with a liner short inside, this is shorts for you. Fabric quality is so good that, the sweat which gets accumalates get wicked away so fast. Two proper zipper pockets on either side offers you to carry your mobile/key/snacks etc etc... Velcro adjustments @the back offers you simple solutions if you ordered a size up or down than your regular waist size. Go for a darker shade if you do some serious cycling, because it gets soiled very easily. These shorts are not the same model or quality as that sold in stores but they work fine. The waist seemed a little smaller than my other pair I purchased in a outdoor retail store but still fit.Very nice shorts. Has sliding velcro adjustment straps at the waist to help get the fit right. Small zip pockets in the front, slim non-baggy design, breaks just above the knees. Stretchy fabric that sheds water. I wear an old pair of padded shorts underneath and this combo works out very well. The only minus is the fastening button at the waist - it pops undone because it just isn't snug enough - a button-and-hole design would have been better, or a fastener.Pearl Izumi really knows what a biker's need. This is a light weight biking shorts. It has adjustable Velcro at the back. I have 36in waist and L size fits just nice. I also like the locations of the side pockets. The pockets zips are located on the sides but the inner pockets sacks are located on the front of the thighs hence they don't interfere with the thighs movement each time I pedal unlike the cargo pants pocket. It has a nice slim fit cut.Great fit. Slightly questionable quality. Stitching started to come apart on the pocket after the first use.Slightly slim fit, but not uncomfortable or too slim.Best pair of shorts I've purchased to date. Great pockets, super quality and very comfortable. Note that I always find bike stuff runs slightly small but I expected this when purchasing so no surprises. While everyone is slightly different, I bought size XXL and I am happy with the fit as the waist is adjustable and I can take them in a bit. I am 6' around 220Lbs and comfortably wear 36" waist jeans.
